| This is a recording of a question submitted by Jenny Cockshull, a regular urgler, to the panel during a recording of Gardeners' Question Time (GQT), the long-running and very popular gardening question and answer programme on BBC Radio 4. This edition of the programme was recorded in Holland in early May of 1999. Thanks are due to Jenny for her now legendary appearance on the programme, and to all at GQT and BBC Radio 4.

It's a big file at 1.2 Mb, and takes about 6 mins to download via my 28.8 modem. I've attempted to keep the file size manageable, and therefore the file is recorded in 8 bit mono at 11025Hz sampling rate, so you'll have to forgive the hiss and crackles. Also, I've restricted the file to just Jenny's question and her notorious 'catchphrase' for the same reason. The ensuing answers from the venerable members of the panel has had to be cut, but a full copy of Jenny's question and the answer is available by sending an audio-tape to cormaic - email for snail-mail address. |
